About the Event

The University for Peace (UPEACE), in partnership with UPEACE NY and Amplifier Art, invites you to the second event of the Peace is a Practice Campaign, a global arts and education initiative exploring peace as a practice grounded in equity, compassion, and justice.

Held following the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), this event will explore how diverse and underrepresented knowledge systems can be recognised, valued, and put into practice to strengthen peacebuilding institutions and processes.

Bringing together representatives from Permanent Missions, international organisations, academia, civil society, artists, and peacebuilding practitioners, the programme will feature artists' interventions, a multi-stakeholder panel discussion, and interactive opportunities for engagement. Together, participants will consider how new approaches to partnership, dialogue, and decision-making can contribute to a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive understanding of peace.

The discussion will focus on practical pathways for integrating diverse knowledge systems into institutional structures and strengthening the practice of peace at a critical moment in the evolution of the United Nations.
