About UPEACE NY Women
UPEACE Women is a strategic initiative empowering professional women to lead in peace movements. We provide a vital platform for networking, advocacy, and global collaboration to drive lasting success.
UPEACE Women is a way for women to make their voices heard in peace movements. But beyond that, it is a timely and strategic initiative with real potential to contribute to global success.
In 2024, Dr. Robin Stern, UPEACE Global Ambassador, organized a meeting in New York City for women professionals to discuss, strategize, and support UPEACE New York’s mission.
The working group intends to hold quarterly meetings with guest speakers, UPEACE New York updates, and create a space to exchange ideas on how to continue strengthening the group’s work. UPEACE Women is also actively seeking partnerships with other organizations and groups such as UN Women and the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
